I have a 2000 2520 MV. My interior V- Berth flouresent lights on't work any more. I tried installing new flouresent bulbs but that didn't work. I'm pretty sure it has to do with corosion due to the lack of ventilation in my cabin.
The next light I'm having problems with is a Guest 222201 spotlight mounted on the roof. (not very effective due to bow rail glare) The motor to pan the light up down left right , is a rusty clump of metal. Are there replacement parts available for this light or is it a throw away after 8 years in the salt?

Before I replaced the v-berth lights I'd pull them apart to see if they are actually not working due to corrosion. I would also check the switch at the helm that controls those lights. The contacts might just be dirty from non-use.

I was in a similar position several years ago. I didn't think the flourescents were working, but then discovered the switch at the helm.
These days I leave the switches on the lights in the ON position, and operate them with the helm switch when needed.

As for your spot light, I would think that after 8 years its ready to be replaced.
Check some of the posts here in the Project section for some great ideas that have been posted recently.

Good luck!

Thanks for the info.Kinda felt the same way about the spot light. I didn't even know there was a switch at the helm for the V-berth lights. I will have to double check that.
