I'm looking at an 05 2520 with twin yamaha 4 strokes. Is this enough power for quick maneuvering in big seas?
Any other tips on what to look for on these boats as I'm new to Parkers?
Had whalers and an Osprey 26lc with diesel before.
Looking for something with twin outboards that I can maintain myself and store in the water.

Will be fishing for Salmon and albacore off northern california coast. Albacore runs are generally within 70 miles. Will I have enough fuel without needing an extra fuel bladder?

What type of gph should I expect on typical cruise and WOT?

I'd like to add a rear steering station. Can this be done by a backyard mechanic and any idea how much it will cost?

Best way to get heat in the cabin for those cold days?

Thanks in advance for your input. I look forward to being a Parker owner and being active on this site. I was a big contributor to the Osprey owners group and provided a lot of input to other owners about my experiences.

POWER: Yeah, that's enough power for sure! I gotta admit those F150s have a stellar reputation for being ballsy, especially for 4-cylinder motors. A friend has one on a huge 26' deep-V Bluefin ofshore CC and he loves them.

HEAT: Do a search on 'Mr buddy' and you'll be reading for hours ...

2nd STATION: Do a search on '2nd station' and you'll be reading for days ...

FUEL: Can't comment ... one would think that boat would get near or above 2mpg, but in snotty weather, you had better be prepared for 1mpg or less. Typical offshore fuel planning would would leave 20-30% in reserve, with the rest to get you out and then back, at worst possible fuel burn.
