Mine has a taylor made front cabin hatch I would think yours came with one also.
" Bean "

Pretty straight forward install, question is how big.

You do loos a little of the front deck for seating, but I think the hatch is well worth it.

What is the size of the factory 2120 hatch?

My 2520 came from the factory with a Bomar hatch, which does open, and it includes a screen.
Unfortunately, my boat is still under shrink wrap, or I'd get you a size for mine to compare to your boat.

Go to the Bomar catalog online and select the series hatch you are interested in, then pick out the appropriate size for your boat.

I rarely open my forward hatch, and only while anchored, but it does allow a bit more light into the trunk cabin.

Kev you got the open back, if you have the full PH I can assure you that you would have the front hatch open more often, it makes for a nice breeze through out the PH on a hot day.

Good point.
I tend to forget that some times. :)

Megabyte mine did not come with a hatch but I would like to install one if possible

My father-inlaw's 2120 came the same way no forward hatch. Update this thread as you go curious to see how it goes we are thinking about cutting one in in his boat too.

The install is possible and should be pretty straightforward.
Once you select the hatch that you want, you can use the template to lay it out and cut the trunk cabin top.

Seal any exposed core with epoxy, and then seal the hatch with the sealant of your choice.
I would probably use a thin coat of clear silicone or Lifecaulk because other than rain, wash water, or the occasional spray, there won't be much 'pressure' there to cause it to leak.

Check the link above for the Bowmar catalog and good luck!

Thanks Megabyte I will check it out

OK....Ahhhh! This seems like a lot of writing and hype.

Measure the area...Go on the internet...under boat hatches.....find the size that will fit......look at the manufacture that makes that size....Now go on the internet and shop price for that hatch.

This is how I do it all the time.

Seal the new hatch with 3M 4000UV

Sometimes things get OVER dramatized.

I don't think there is any Parker owner that has cut and drilled more holes in their boat than I have in the last 2yrs?

Thanks Warthog5 I was waiting for you to chime in......I have read all your posts and value the workmanship you have done to your Parker.....And Thanks for the sealant choice.....but one question.....my choice on size for hatch or is one preferred? It's more for ventilation and the aesthetics it brings....the aluminum inside is all pitted which I cleaned up and want to slow down the process

OK......The Factory hatch on mine is 19in X 19in on the outside. The actual opening is close to 15 1/2 X 15 1/2......[It's dark out there.]

Now.....That hatch "could" be construed as a escape point, should someone be trapped in there. A 20 X 20 opening a "Average size" person can get thru it.

There are hatches that are all over the spectrum. Cheap to Super Pricy and quality goes with price.

Hamilton Marine has the best selection and I've bought plenty of stuff from them.

The one I installed in my mako, I had to think about for 2yrs before I bought it....$800......It was cast alum, No plastic and had the camber of the Cuddy top made into it.

It was this one.

Size , Color , Quality, Price.....Then just order it. :)
