I am looking for a new or used Parker and stumbled on the site. My main usage for the boat will be as an island-commuter boat to travel to and from our place on Lake Winnipesaukee in NH. My ideal boat would be the 2820 with a longer pilothouse, but since that is not an option at this point (my local dealer told me it is in the works for the future), but have a few others in mind.
3420 (saw an 09 leftover at the show)
2520XLD (looking at an 08 leftover with a single 350 tomorrow)
2530 (not sure if it offers enough deck space. havent seen one in person)
My needs require a LOT of seating, both inside and out and a lot of deck space. I do not need or want free standing livewells as it will not be a fishing boat (sorry guys). Preferrably as much seating inside as possible. I am told that I can install the folding stern seats on the sides as well. The current 2820, although nice, doesnt offer any more pilothouse space than the 2520 and the 2520 has sufficient deck space so I have somewhat scratched it off my list unless the right deal came along. In a nutshell, I am goung to use it a a "floating wheelbarrow" and people hauler.
I love the 3420 and looked at one at the Boston show yesterday but think as a leftover it is too much $$$. I'd prefer a gas gen over the diesel as diesel is hard to come by on the lake unless I lug it myself.
Any thoughts or direction towards finding the right new or used would be helpful.
