anyone use an airmar m260 shoot-thru transducer (not thru-hull)?
if so, any performance observations?

for you thru-hull guys how thick is the fiberglass where you mounted the thru-hull?

is the hull 100% fiberglass no coring, no airspace etc.?

thanks

I have an AirMar "tilt" low profile through hull on my 21' Parker. The hole was cut approximately a foot from the transom, opposite the factory-installed
through hull for the livewell. The plug was 7/16" thick, all layers of glass and resin.

Capt John... Tri-State put my Airmar 'tilted element' transducer in during her winter layup and didn't save the plug, so I can't tell you how thick... but she is solid glass.

Mine is located on the stbd side just outside the (glassed in) bilge pump mounting pad.

I don't have any intel on the Airmar shoot-thru, though they have been discussed previously in the projects section (with photos, I believe).

Parker hulls are 100% fiberglass, no coring, no airspace, no foam no BS! :D

My 23DV plug is 9/16ths thick, taken same place as "Megabyte's" 'ducer.
