Modified vee and deep vee

Hello all, so while back i got a 90’ 2520 modified vee, I planned on using as a work boat and a mess around boat in the bay. Ive ran it a few times since I put an etec 250 on it. It seems to get it pretty good and its really nice to fluke on. However the ride isnt really that great seems to pound pretty good. How much different is the deep vee compared to modified vee. Im kicking around keeping this just for work boat and maybe see about looking into a used 23 cabin deep vee for personal boat. Any input would be appreciated thanks.
