The oil wasn't pumping to oil tank -I replaced the oil filter that's at main oil tank near oil pump. NG. It was a little oil filter
that was on port side of motor. Its a inline oil filter near oil regulator.
Marty D --

I'm sorry i dumped all the old parts at the marina. I had a mess with oil all over the deck of the boat -i put every thing in a bag and dumped it.
There are two inline oil filter valves--one at the main tank in the bilge next to the pump and one on the port side of motor right below the by pass switch. I have to by plugs-when i go to the store -i will have him look up the parts and post them.
They make call the one on the motor -check vale.------ Check valve or oil filter--IT WAS CLOGGED !!!
The marina is right down the road--I went there and it was still in the trash.
Yamaha part 646-24251-02--That valve is the one on port side of motor.
Yamaha part 68F-13440-00 --That valve or filter is at the main tank near pump

Just so everyone knows...part # 646-24251-02 is a strainer in the line from the pump that's in the bilge with the 2 1/2 gal. tank pic #25 and part # 68F-13440-00 is a filter that is in the line by the toggle switch under the cowling on the port side by the little oil tank pic#35 using Boats.net parts schematics. YES they will clog. Hope this clears up any confusion for anyone who is also now having or haves this problem in the future. Thanks Marty D ! I am sure this info will help someone out, so they don't have to run to a dealer.

Sorry -Did i have them mixed ? That's because the parts guy mixed them up also. When i replaced the oil filter at the pump -it looked Diff. and i went back to him and he said that's how the new one's look. ---- He was wrong. I had to pull the tank out again and replace the filter with the right one.
