Just installed a GPSMAP 3210 in the dash of my 2520SL, flush mounted. I found that the dash is not flat. Has a slight twist to it, enough that if you hold the top edge of the 3210 flat on the surface, there is a 1/4" gap at the lower left corner, and likewise if I hold the bottom edge of the unit flat there is a 1/4" gap under the upper right corner. I split the difference and ran a bead clear marine silicone around the entire edge of the GPS. Anyone else who has flush mounted any electronics in the dash find it wasn't perfectly flat? The 3210 takes up about the entire dash area, there is just barely room for the two stock Yamaha guages to the right of the unit.

On a side note, the flush mounting system on the 3210 is pathetic, it consists of four brass thread inserts press-fitted into the plastic housing of the 3210. I managed to pull three of them out by "over tightening" the mounging bolts, so I ended up gluing them back in place.
