Well, I have taken the Parker plunge. Been looking for used one for about 2 years. Finally found what I wanted in a new one. 2012 25 SE with single 300.

Been reading on here the whole time I was looking. Great resource for information.

Thanks guys. I've only had it out for a few hours, but been really impressed with the boat and engine so far. I had sea trialed a 07 25 SE with a 250 and would have bought it if we could have agreed on price. I thought it did fine with the 250, but the 300 really seems a good match for the boat. By the gauges I was running 3800 rpms at 30 mph and 2.7 mpg. Don't know yet how accurate that is but seemed to match what I was seeing on the fuel gauge. Will update as I get to run it more.
