Parker Friends,

I have a 2320 pilot house and recently ALL my navigation lights quit working. Toggle switch does not "glow red" in the on positions and the lights don't work either in the navigation or the anchor light position. tried resetting the breaker and that did not fix it.

I am assuming that it must be the switch or a circuit problem as all three lights are affected.

Sorry if I missed previous posts on troubelshooting nav light problems tried a search and did not come up with anything definitive.

Does anyone have any tips for easy troubleshooting so I can locate and fix the problem?

Well the quick and easy way to figure out if its a bad switch is move the wires to an empty switch on the panel and see if they work. If they dont work on the new switch check the actual lights. Most problems I have had with my nav lights turns out to be the actual bulbs. If you have a light tester or volt meter you can start poking around to see if you are getting power.

If you're not getting power to anything, check first to see if the positive and negative are even feeding power to the switch.

A simple test light should tell you right away if you have power... From there, it's a matter of moving forward (or back) until you find power, to isolate the failed component or wire. A test light will also be useful to troubleshoot a single light. If the test light works, you can focus on the bulb or light fixture.

Thanks I will start out with the test light and go from there.

I had the same thing happen to my 08 2120. The breaker kept tripping.

Turns out there was a small piece of metal bouncing around in the bow light. This kept shorting out the circuit and popping the breaker. It drove me nuts.

Do youself a favor and pull the plastic lenses apart on the bow light to see if there is any metal bouncing around in there.

Good luck.
