:!: Senate Bill 1695 is scheduled for Finance Committee next week and the NCSHP has been campaigning against recreational towing over 8'6" during night time hours. The current bill, S1695, has provisions to allow recreational towing for boats up to 120", 24/7, without a permit.
It is imperative that we strongly urge all House Representatives, Senators
as well as Governor Easley to support Senate Bill 1695 as writtenand to oppose any amendments that might be proposed during Finance Committee. The letter you will find by clicking on the following link will cover all of thestatistics that support the current bill.
Please fill out and pass along to everyone you know that is involved with
boating. This legislation is extremely important to recreational boaters,
the marine industry and tourism in our state.
Thank you in advance for your immediate attention to this matter.
