hello out there, 2004 2520XL single 225 yammie. boat sitting for 4 months on trailer, pulled batteries to fully charge.

when putting them back in, got cables on one backwards (yes i am an idiot) , have corrected now. blew a couple of fuses, but nothing i can find otherwise.
problem is i have power everywhere, everything works except for trim tabs, tilt for motor (cockpit and on motor) and no gauges (tach, speed) when i turn the key ?? any thoughts ??
i have multimetered everywhere and have 12 v all over, i think i am missing a fuse that blew or a bad ground ???? might have done something to the motor (rectifier ??) am going to call parker monday - they were closed last week when i called (too i live about 15 minutes from the factory if anyone ever needs anything)
help !!!!
thanks

There is(should be) an inline fuse for your trim tabs (lenco) that should be located in the electrical box behind the helm. Trace the wire from the switch and you will probably find it lying down towards the bottom of the compartment. It can be tough to find with all of the wiring that is in there.

Take the cover off your motor and there is a fuse there for the gauges. Check the service manual to locate it. There should also be a spare taped to the wires near by. Most modern day electronics are designed to withstand the polarity reversed and will simply blow fuses (because of rectifiers/diodes) Get a roll of red electrical tape and take all of you wires going to the + side of the battery and tape the ends and then tape them together to help prevent this from happening again. Use black tape on the - side and do the same. That could have been a costly mistake.

THANKS maxout & others for the help.
we are working now.
next mini project - i move on to getting bottom paint on.
