I'm in the process of relocating my VHF antenna from my gunwale to a T-Top (on a 2001 1801). When I remove the antenna base I'll have 4 holes on the "top" of the gunwale (near where the grab rail mount is) that will need to be filled. What do you think is the best way to fill the holes that will be left behind.

Thank you in advance for any help.

Quick and dirty way, just get some MarineTex putty.. tape around the holes, mix it up, force it into the holes.. a little light sanding and you are done.

I'm sure this will be considered sacrilidge by some of the CP faithful, but I'll let them chime in on the right way with gelcoat, etc..

Check out the holes in my dashboard, I had an older helm which was just mechanical steering when I bought the boat. I installed Seastar so the helm bolts did not line up with the new helm so I put bolts and nuts in them and finished them off with finish washers. Not an eyesore from where I sit and it was an easy fix. I know you are talking a completly different area but this gives you another option.
