recently purchased 90 25 sport cabin. 350 ci omc cobra I/O. 3500rpm gets 20mph, motor needs to be gone through at very least. am considering repower, maybe change to outboard w/bracket? any suggestions would be very helpful thanks

I did some research in converting my 25' I/O to O/B and the numbers did not add up.
I am very glad I repowered with a new I/O.
I have sailed on O/B 25' Parkers and I can tell you that the I/O 25' Parkers have a better ride because of the extra weight down low.
I would say a new Mercruiser 260HP/Bravo Three would be about $18k installed. Add and extra $9k for a Yanmar 240HP/Bravo Two X.
