Well I had the trailer in the water to far when I was loading it and put my first 20 inch scratch in the keel when it hit the front cross rail on the trailer. I was :( but this forum is great :D I found the post on gelcoat repair and I am ready. One question, any one have a dealer I can contact to get the gelcoat shiped to me fast? Also from what I have read it sounds like I need gelcoat and a hardener, or do they come together like a package deal. One more thing has anyone put a Keel Guard on to help protect the keel. Thanks for the help Sean

Did the same thing last year trying to ride her up on the trailer. Trailer wasn't deep enough in the water.
The gelcoat you have to get at a Parker Dealership but the hardner I used was from West Marine. Schrader Yacht Sales in Point Pleasant, N.J. sold me a small jar of gelcoat for I think $12.00 or so. Sure beats having to buy a quart. The phone number is 732 899-8010 Ask for Pat, see what he will do for you.

Thanks for the info great folks to deal with at Schrader, one problem is its an Hazmat item so shipping might not work. But I think we got it figured out. Thanks for the help Sean

Put "keel guard" into the search tool and select "Search for all terms".
You will see some previous discussion on that product.
