New Boat, Full Tank of Gas

The dealer was nice enough to fill my fuel and oil tank before I took my 2002 Parker 2120 home (only 108hrs). Would it be safe to assume he did not add ring free or startron. I am about to change out the filters, would it do any harm in adding my fuel treatment concoction, if it has already been added? Is there any issue with a double dose?

A 'double dose' is sure better than a 'no dose' condition ... specially when the dealer paid

for one of the doses!

Double dose is a good idea especial not knowing the oil in the tank or how it was run.

We have an 01 150 HPDI. It really likes good oil- Yamalube or BRP/Merc DI equivalent...cheap stuff sticks pistons, found out the hard way. Used Seafoam for years, switched to Ringfree recently as it's become cheaper per gallon.

I have a 2003 150 HPDI and thumbs up on the Yamalube. My local Yamaha dealer buys in bulk. I just furnish my own containers. I save at least 10$ a gallon that way.
I also run Ring-free and Startron,always..

Maintenance dose for Ringfree and StarTron is 1 ounce per 10 gallons of fuel.
De-carbon dose is 1 ounce per 1 gallon of fuel.
So even a double maintenance dose is well within what the motor can injest.
StarTron even says on their label that you cannot over treat with their product.

Go ahead and add a treatment and enjoy!
