I had trouble reaching the end of the bunk for support when in a rough sea so I installed this footrest. I bought it on eBay for $65.00 and it is new. I feel more comfortable having something to support myself when the road gets rough.

When the going gets rough, You're going to wish you had one of these

I call it my spine saver, otherwise known as a Shock Mitigating Seat Post.

That is very nice and one day I will probably install one but the question still remains, WHERE DO I PUT MY FEET?, that is why I installed the footrest.

Sorry. I hadn't put the footrest on when I took that other picture.

But now that you have a footrest, you don't the Springfield one.

I have one of those footrests but I don't like having my feet under me, it's not comfortable and I don't get enough support from them. For me they serve no purpose, to each his own.

No reason why the one you installed wouldn't work with a SMS post!

I have to agree with you. I like the one you have. I just used the ones I already had.
