I joined the site to research a Parker 2001 Modified Deep V 2520 that I am thinking about buying....is there any place where I can access to specification sheets and diagrams to help me make my decision?

thanks in advance

Hey Kevin, I may be wrong, but at Parkers web site they have a ton of specs on there. If its not on there I would contact them directly and ask for them, they tend to be pretty open about this stuff. I just bought a new 2320 and everything I asked for they provided like this. Good luck!

Thanks, they have been telling me they need a hull number to help me, not just a year and model number...why I don't know....

I know through the years Parker has gone through very little hull design changes, but I viewed that as a good thing, but my guess is they want to make sure they have the right hull. Just my guess. Good luck sir and happy boating!

Because in your original post you called the boat you were looking at a "Parker 2001 Modified Deep V 2520".

It is either a modified vee, or it is a deep vee. It cannot be both.
That is why they could not help you without the HIN. The HIN will tell them exactly what it is.

Specs on all of the models can be found here under 'Models' :

Thanks Kevin! I am a bit new to the Parker boat ownership, but all you folks on here are soooo helpful, greatly appreciated! I am learning more and more which is great.

I have not seen these documents but on the flip side just post your questions, concerns, .... and there are a slew of CP experts who will assist you

No problem Angus. We all started here at one point. :)

Something else that will help...

If the boat has two lifting strakes, it is a deep vee.
If it has one lifting strake, it is a modified vee.

sorry for using the incorrect language, it is a modified vee..... i am trying to get as much intel before i make the seven hour drive for the sea trial...i just bought the boat, and i am hoping it is not under powered with twin yamaha 115 four strokes....i am selling my diesel pilot house, as i regularly go out 80 miles for albacore, and want to move to twins instead of my historical single I/O...

We have a member here (Porkchunker) who has a 2510 with twin 115's.
He does like it just fine, but says that when the time comes to re-power, he will be stepping up to twin 150's.

I have run with him before from Annapolis to St Michaels, and he ran right with my single 225 OX66 the whole way.

Twin OBs are nice and will power a mod-V hull just fine, but for your fishing I think you really need a deep-V hull!

Aside from info direct from Parker, if dealers keep old catalogs they list specs. Some change with time.
