I recently purchased a Parker 2320 SL, formerly know on this site as the "Ragin Cajun", and went to the Maryland DNR today to register it. It was an interesting trip because the Title I received, and the Seller I bought it from, refer to this boat as a 1996 2320. However, the HIN on the boat ends in 97 so I thought maybe the boat is actually a '97. Well as I pointed this out to DNR they stated that they would have to go by the Florida Title and to me it really didn't make a difference. Anyway, I had to fill out all their paperwork and walk back to the counter to pay my fees and get my new MD numbers. I was being waited on by a different lady this time and as she entered the information in the database she said "I will have to give you the original numbers the boat had as it was first registered in Maryland, by the way your boat is a 1997". I was surprised and thought it was interesting that I bought the boat from Florida from a guy that bought the boat from Texas, who apparently bought the boat from someone in Maryland. Now it's back where it belongs and hopefully I can get started "making it my own". Just thought it was an interesting story since Maryland, Florida and Texas are really not neighbors and also a little surprised I was the 4th owner, however it is in great shape so no worries. Look forward to sharing some small mods over the summer.

Interesting that MD DNR still had the boat in their system and would re-assign you her original numbers.
Never knew that it worked that way.

Anyway, congratulations and welcome!
Looking forward to your project posts.
