Too much power? No

Too much $$? You betcha ...

I just repowered and my local Yam delaer wanted $32K  for a Yam 300hp installed soups-to-nuts with all rigging ... whereas I got a new Suzi 250hp (lower HP but better motor IMHO in the long run) for $18K installed ...

Capt. Kevin: I spoke with Robin Parker. They are now using 300's on the 23 pilot house.
They are correcting their brochure to reflect that.

Good to know!

Keep in mind the newer 2320's have bigger brackets then the older style which provides more flotation for more weight.

The new Yami 4.2s weigh about 50# less than my 2006 F250.

The new 4.2s come in 225, 250, or 300. Not sure if Parker changed the bracket on the 2320 for the extra 50 hp. My placard on the transom of my 2006 says max hp 300.

Just an FYI........tests show that old f250 versus new 4.2 F250........the old is more fuel efficient.
