I have read a few posts about bad performance and guys wanting to know what type of prop to run, it seems to be a pretty active topic. I have always thought that the yamaha painted stainless 17 degree prop has performed extremely well on my 225 4 stroke, 2004 2520XL, but I never had any documentation to offer. So yesterday I went for a ride before the playoffs started, couldn't resist, beautiful day for January, Conditions were great so I thought it would be a good opportunity to get some numbers, so I snapped a few pics of the gauges and thought I would just pass it along. Conditions were perfect, water calm, surface temp 39.1 degrees, winds 5 MPH, 3/4 tank of fuel, no gear and just me aboard, trim gauge is broken so pay no attention to that in the pics. Sorry for the dusty gauges  I took a few at mid range, one at WOT,(speed is in MPH if its hard to see), and the last of sea conditions. Like I said beautiful day! Mike.

Good post, I get about the same numbers at cursing speed with my ox66 225hp, little less MPH at WOT but I know I need to do low pressure fuel pumps I think that's where im lacking the WOT speed

I'd rather see GPS numbers for speed.
Yup I know what you mean and the GPS does go to 10ths , but this was just the simplest way to document the readings, but I did check the numbers against the GPS and they were within 1/2 MPH of the speedo on this day. AT WOT the GPS was 39.4

My speedo is pretty accurate as well. Its off about 1 MPH usually, surprised about that as well
