Guys, I need your help! I have owned alot of boats Carolina Classic, Regulator, and Grady White just to name a few. Looking at a 2006 used Parker 1801 with a 115 4 stoke. Is this a wet boat? Does it need trim tabs? Is this boat only good for inshore? What about offshore on a nice day? I know Parker builds a quality boat and any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

If you are asking is it Regulator, Grady, or CC dry...NO!!! It is however the biggest 18' boat on the market. I have seen 18 Parkers at the stream before on a good day an a lot of our local fly fish guides use them in the ocean. It will comfortably fish 2 - 3 people but gets real tight above 3. What is will do that the others mentioned will not do is allow you to float in 12" of water and fish marshes with a trolling motor. It is economical to run and tow. As for tabs, maybe but not as necessary as a 21', after all 115hp is not going to power you up to a point where you begin to porpoise.
