Are there any members that can have been on both the Deep V hull and modified V hull on the 2300 in really rough conditions? We are TowBoatUS in Mobile, Alabama and operate on Mobile Bay which can get really sloppy with large chop. We want to know if there is a significant difference in ride before purchasing?

Thanks in advance for any experience you can lend to our decision making process. We have a Parker 2520 with the Deep V hull and really love it! Now need to replace a boat and we are going with the Parker 2300.

Haven't been on both, just 2300. From the conditions you described, I would think the DV is the way to go.

I have owned both and have the 2300DV now with bracket. The Mod V is great is shallow water and getting up close to sand bars. The ride is good under 2' but pounds and needs right much tab above that. The Deep V is a little more limited in shallow water but you don't even notice 3'. In slop both can handle it but the DV will be a smoother ride. The DV also needs good tabs. I like the extra free board on the the DV also.

The way you tow boat guys like to load up and rig your boats out with all your gear and equipment, I would stick to a deep v. I would also Max out the boat with the highest horsepower engine and swing the biggest prop you can (Suzuki). The 23 is a great ride, built like a brick outhouse.

For those that don't know. ALL the SeaTow boats here in the Pensacola are are Suzzy powered.

I just wish Suzzy made a DF 350 now.
