I have a 2005 Parker 2520SL with a Yamaha F250 that is cherry. I bought this boat as un upgrade from my 190 Nantucket, and find that I still am in the bays for the most part. I paid close to $60k, and it sells now for about $65k equipped. I am asking $52,000.

I miss the simplicity of my smaller boats, and will be looking to buy a smaller Parker or Whaler when I sell this one; the trade thing is too hard to work. Anyways, I'll still be around this site; love it here.

With full gas, and 4 aboard, the Mary Alice will do 40mph at 5600 rpm's. I have not toyed with the prop, but she might be able to be optimized. I spent many of her hours at trolling speed and at cruising speed (4000 rpm's, 27 mph).

I figured I'd list her for sale now, enjoy her for a a decent part of the summer, and then someone else would be able to take advantage of the late summer / early fall fishing season. She has mostly been used for cruising by us, and come the autumn I will be even more busy with football and other sports and training. I think a smaller Parker is eventually in our future.

I bet there are tears once you see she is really gone. She is too nice of a boat not to miss. Good luck with the sale.

Thanks Greg.

I am on vaca next week. She will be used a lot. I just dropped the price by $2500 fyi.

Thanks for looking,
Sal

I put her in Tidalfish now too, and have listed her with Angler's Edge for increased exposure. I have raised the price in this, and other ads, to $52k asking, on the advice of someone I trust, who said I should list it even higher; price is not the problem.

Anyways I will of course honor $50k to anyone here; it is more of a strategy thing.

This sounds nuts, but if I can get my Parker sold soon, I can buy back the Whaler I sold to a gentleman in Virginia two years ago: My old boat. The original Mary Alice. Weird Karma Eh? I am pretty sure I would want either a 21 SE or my old boat.

Is it unlucky to do such a thing? Here is my old boat:

Still for sale. A California buyer went with something else. My coworkers actually couldnt believe that I was kind of talking him out of my boat on the phone later yesterday too. For me I can't figure why someone would buy my boat for near $50k, ship it cross country for $7k, when they could buy it new for $10k more than that. I guess it costs even more out in Socal...
