So my wife has agreed to go halfsies on a 2320 and I had to up sale her from a pontoon and plead my case of sanctuary from the daily summer t-storms while visiting friends on the lake. I have 4 other boats so this has been a bit of a sale.

Her main concern is the seating on the deck for recreational use. I am a hard core fisherman but trying to sell the dual purpose here.

Anyone of any input on somewhat rigging the boat up to cater to sunbathing and kids? I do want to keep the deck clear for fishing so I do not want anything permanent but maybe nice marine chairs, etc.? Your answers could help me buy the parker I have always wanted!

Thanks in advance and new to the board.

A less expensive idea are just the fold able canvas chairs. Walmart or job lot has them a lot of times for 15-20$. They fold up and dont take a lot of room you can store them up in the V berth. Stay away from west marine or any other marine stores the price will double.

I was going to suggest the Bean Bag chairs also.

My buddy uses the folding chairs on his fishing boat. They work well for those long runs to the fishing grounds. They are fairly cheap. They do rust and they do break. But they are cheap and fold up and get bungied into a corner out of the way while fishing.

I got the Wise chairs, they cost big $$$ but I am a believer you get what you pay for. They are comfy and will last for years. Spend the money now or keep buying disposable ones every year

Platic stackable adirondack lawn chairs are quite comfy. Just put them in the truck if doing hardcore fishing...

Thanks Everyone,

I have gone through the chairs every year on my ( c-hawk pilothouse 245, FOR SALE btw ) and I was looking to upgrade to something substantial but not permanently mounted.

As much as i don't wont to install an awning on the boat, does anyone have any experience with this, and tips with integrating with the fishability while the awning is up?

I know you could sell her on the way Kev's is.

Any perminet chair will always be in the wrong place....sooner or later. To hot, wind blowing spray etc, etc.

Here's what i do ... an older post of mine and with an old photo, pre-tower and new motor ...

See the bench below? On long trips or overnights, it makes a great place for the crew/Admiral to relax and get the sun. When not in use, I leave it on my boat dock. The slats are cedar and grayed to mimic well seasoned teak. I was going to make it look like 'brightwork' , but immediately gave up on the idea - haha!

Do EVERYTHING possible to make/keep the Admiral happy - for if the Admiral isn't happy - NO ONE is happy ;) . Let me add, cuddling with the Admiral whilst sharing a glass (plastic ;) ) of her favorite wine, under the magic carpet of the night stars in the heavens, is a sure fire to make sure she enjoys the evening.

Dale what a beauty Miss Teak is !
Hey when or are you going to the boat show this year
If your around Id meet up with you

Have your people call my people
Or visa versa...

You'd need a crane to get that seat lifted that high onto the dock. LOL It truly amazes me how much different your guys tides are.

We average 1ft from Low to High tide here.

You guys trip me out!

Thanks for the suggestions and pictures ( 1000 words ).

We are going to look at the boat this weekend. These pictures will be my ammo. If any of you have some pictures with kids that could sill the deal! Also, if anyone has any pix of awnings for the boat, that would be excellent.

Thanks again!
