I've got the old style Parker Leaning post that is now really only on the commercial boats. I've been considering swapping out with a new one that isn't such a shallow seat so my son could actually sit up on top without sliding off. Right now, it is only good for leaning, not sitting. That doesn't bother me as I'm always standing (like a good captain should  ). But my 5 year old likes to sit next to me and it isn't very comfortable for him.

Trying to gauge any interest and going rate for selling my current one to help subsidize the cost. OEM cushion from Coastal Canvas in Beaufort, NC is brand new and the fiberglass shell is in great condition. Also may include the back rest which is also brand new and never used. It was fabricated by Custom Marine Fab in New Bern and also sports the same matching OEM cushion by Coastal Canvas. It was like $125 new.

I don't have any pics handy but it has the grab rail around the back and 4 flush rod holders. It is the pedastal style that sits atop the above deck livewell.

Thanks in advance...

If you are talking about the old style that mounts on the pedestals above the livewell then I might be interested. I have been thinking about replacing my captains chairs with the adjustable leaning post from Todd.

Send me a pics and let me know what you wnat for it it is the type I described.

It is what you are looking for. I can get some pictures but it will be later in the week before I'm at my boat.

Not sure about $$. I'd have to give it some thought. Not sure how much it would be to ship either, which may make it cost prohibitive.

Thanks for the interest.

What is the difference between the old style and new style leaning post? I now have a 2000 21 SE with the pedastools for the leaning post on the live well. Also thinking about buying a back rest for it. Are they available in both styles?

Old style has the pedastals while the new style has 4 legs. Both sit on top of the livewell, but the new style has a cushion that goes up to the top of the seat, while the old style only goes 1/2 the way up due to rod holders flush mounted in the fiberglass shell. The new style has the rocket launchers welded to the grab rail on the back. I replied to your other post regarding a back rest. Custom marine in New Bern makes most of the leaning posts and back rests for Parker.

Thanks. Now that you describe it, I remember seeing the new ones. Look for my PM on the other post.

Never had a back rest for the leaning post on my Dusky, and never wanted one.
I did like the fact that I could sit atop it when fishing off the side though.
The rod holders were a bonus.

yours is not so bad at least you can sit on it comfortably, if you sit on ours, half your butt is on the cushion and the other half is on the rod holder/fiberglass
