Only saw 1 center-console 20' or larger for sale new, though there are many small 14'-18' rigid-hull/inflatable types around. Most boat designs had a cuddy, even on the little 16 footer shown, with most having high bows. I'd guess 95% of all boats are deisel, but the UK just eliminated the 'red' fuel for boats so now they have to pay the SAME high price for diesel that include on-the-road taxes.
Remember, at least 75% of what England pays for petrol or diesel is tax. Petrol (only 93 or 97 octane available) was > $9.50 US for a US-equivalent gallon.
Less what the 2nd photo shows (marina could have been a Honda dealer) most boats with OBs wore Yamaha or Suzuki 4-stroke motors. Seems like Suzi is making strong in-roads into EU, as I saw more evidence of them than anyone else.
Note the 'homemade' Brownell stands used ... :shock:
