Hi another boataholic joining up from South Oregon. I grew up on boats and water and lived in Belize for 23 yrs in the dive biz. For some reason we never had or saw Parkers down there but the semi vee would have been perfect for all around use. I have moved back home to Brookings on So Oregon coast and after fishing for salmon etc in a winshield 21ft alum boat I am tired of freezing my bollocks. Main boats here are 23-25 pilot houses and Parkers are top 3 in popularity. But limited used market to speak of so I will have to find one and drag it back from the east coast.
I'm on a budget and really just want simplicity anymore as tired of working on stuff that isnt necessary but bugs me when it dosent work so I fix it. Looking at an earlier model 2320 with enclosed transom & bracket so I can properly mount a little yam 8hp hi thrust for slow trolling for chinook salmon. I would also prefer to have a non computerized ox66 or hpdi for simplicity/reliability that will run well on cheap gas and so I can easily maintain and fix myself. Marine mechanics around here cost as much as doctors and there are few good ones around anymore. I dont mind the extra fuel costs as dont have to run far to fish, other than for tuna 20-30mi but that would only be a half dozen times a year.

So I am starting the hunt for a clean hull/engine. Does anyone know what the old hull vs 2nd gen 2005+ is all about? 7 I am not finding the answers I am looking for.
