Does anyone have a Permatrim Stabilizer installed on a 2120?
How is it working?

Thanks

We have one on a 150 HPDI on the back of a 2120. Mokee will probably be on shortly with a report.

Thanks Nick and hello Tjay.

I originally looked into the PT thinking it might improve fuel usage and settle the bounce in the slop and chop. Close chop in quartering, following seas used to make me wish I stayed home. The PT has really helped in those situations.

Nick raised the motor one hole on the advice of Andy at SIM. Between that and the PT she doesn't seem to pound nearly as hard in head seas as before the PT.

I think it helped increase the degree of angle of motor trim before the prop cavitates increasing max rpm and speed at WOT. Also, she doesn't seem to "wander" at slow speeds as much. I think its made rafting up to another boat and docking easier. Overall, I'm pleased with this mod and think it money well spent.

Some are leery of putting holes in their cavitation plate for fear of stress of water pressure on the PT cracking it. Before we raised the motor, I broke 3 bolts holding the PT to the plate. Comforting to know that the SS bolts broke before the plate cracked on the Yammie.

We'll, that about covers it. Hope this helps.

I ordered it today. I will let you know in about a week how it worked.
