Polishing windshields

The windshield on my boat is a bit grungy... is there a cleaner/polisher that will get it clean?

winq rust and stain remover. comes in a brown bottle and you can get it at your grocery store-used to remove stains from toilet/porcelain.

Wet area. Put some on sponge. rub on windshield. As you are rubbing it you will notice water beading on area starts to smooth out. Finish section and hose off.

Try an keep it off metal, but as long as area is wet I never had a problem.

When I'm buffing and polishing my hull every spring, I hit the windows with my high speed buffer with a wool pad and polishing compound.
I follow up the compound with wax.

The windows never looked better.

Yes, but those windows are GLASS ... whereas the windshield to a CC may be ACRYLIC. They may need a different cleaning compound and regimen, i.e., that which is OK on glass may be too aggressive for plastics ...

Yes... the windscreen on my 1801 is 'smoked' gray plexiglass. There are some persistant bug splatters and other marks that the standard products will not remove. Perhaps Flitz polich will get it clean?

Plexiglas & EisenglassFor cleaning water spots and light stains use Flitz with a damp Microfiber Cloth, buff with a clean dry Microfiber Cloth. For scuffmarks and discoloration use Flitz with a dry Microfiber Cloth or a Flitz Buff N Polish Ball.
