I have 2520 with twin 150s and sea star power steering assist which is on the blink. replaced all visible connections by battery - some had corrosion and that fixed the problem for awhile. now it's out. I had a guy come look at the boat but he hasn't worked on this type of unit before - thinks the motor could be the problem. it is mounted under cockpit helm. 7 years old - seems like it should work longer than that. any ideas or similar experiences? What do other 2520 owners have? My buddy has a 36 contender with triple 250s and he doesnt have any power assist and the wheel is easy. The noise from unit was annoying when it was working and it's tough to steer now without it. Can I switch back to pure hydraulic? many thanks

Yep... Just another gadget to go bad. If it was me......I'd remove it from the system.
