Anyone know what prop works best on a 1996 2520 mv with a 250 76 degree v-6. This motor is mounted om a notch transome.

as it was explained to me the 14deg mv was designed for a 200-225hp single with a 17p prop...i'm spinning a 17p on my 200hpdi and it's ok... I wish i could get a 16, and i think a 15 is just too little. 17 is good enough.

im not sure youd get the necessary revs with a 19p, but you might depending on how you gear your boat

17 sounds right. if you run super heavy you can take some cup out and get some rpms up. just take the boat out hammer the throttle down and trim the motor til it starts to blow out then tuck the motor back in a tad and see what your rpms say. assuming you have an older 2 stroke on that thing then you should be near 5500 rpm. If its a newer 4 stroke 6k for max rpm.
