If anyone here has installed a radar on their 2120,did you use a adjustable bracket for the dome or did you use a fixed mount?
I've been told a fixed mount works fine on a 2120 and no wedge is needed either. Any input?

Most of the commercial radar mounting posts I'm aware of incorporate the 4 degree wedge into the basic design, so no... a wedge is not needed unless you intend to mount your dome directly to the roof.

I'm going to go with the Seaview Mount. I just hope I can sneek under this one bridge in early spring during spring striper season,it cuts across into the other bay an saves alot of fuel.

I mounted my Furuno flush,on the mount, and can pick up all targets well.
No problems...YET !!

Thanks,I picked up everything on Thursday. Just have to figure out where the GPS antenna will go.

I have a 2120 and I mounted my GPS in the starboard side and to the rear corner. It is easy to gain access to the wire tube that goes down the corner inside so you can hide the wires. In this picture if you look in the corner you can see a small piece of white velcro about 2" down, that is how I held the wires in the corner (use the hook side of the velcro against the carpeted bulkhead). If you look down the bottom you see a black wire wrap, that is my GPS wire and you can go anywhere from there without it being seen. Hope this helps you.

I mounted mine w/ the 5'' Sea View mount, that has a hole for a light bar,and then you buy the light bar for that mount.Check the web site, and you'll know what I'm talkin about. The light bar mount is a standard 1''male thread at the top,and my Garmin gps antenna screwed right on to.
I mounted it right on the house, and cored out the holes for the cables in that little raised section on the top.Dremeled out enough of the cored section to fit the cables in ,and 5200 the heck out of it,just put some paiters tape on the inside of the top to keep the 5200,and gravity form making a mess on the inside, and put the plugs back in.
The Sea Veiw mount wasnt hard, just drilled,5200,and thru bolted that puppy right on,no sweat.
Getting the cables run, coring out the top,and getting the plugs back in where it looked decent, and not making a mess w/the 5200.....well that took a few hours..get the faster setting 5200.....and ALOT of rags!!
Actualy the whole project wasn't that bad, shoot if I could pull it off, just about any one could. If I can figure out how to send some pics I'll do it.

I was checking that out.My light that came with the boat has been a PITA since I got the boat, always falling back down.I will figure out something )

I install my radar myself and it is monuted flush on a bracket. I am going to add a wedge to compensate for the dead rise in the next few weeks.
