I have a 2013 2520 xld with a garmin hd radar unit and my satilite radio recever antenna in located by my nav lite on hard top.
When I use the radar overlay on the garmin unit the satilite radio cuts in and out trying to receive a signal. When I turn it off its o.k. The only other place I see to install a new antenna in up front on deck next to starboard nav lite.
Has any one else had this problem?

No, but I think I know someone who can answer that question...

Call Jim Maier at BOE Marine in Stevensville.
BOE is a Garmin dealer and installer. They should know.

BOE said 8ft from radar unit. Looks like I have to locate on deck by windlass next to starboard nav light. At least the anchor locker is there and can run line thru there.

Final outcome on sirius radio and radar unit. I nave a garmin hd 48 mile radar unit mounted on the top of my pilot house and sat antenna is also on top. After trying other locations I went on line BOE Marine and got a scantower radio, gps entended bar and new sat antenna to raise it above the radar unit. Tested the radio with radar running for 3 hours and no problems. Radar keep steeling radio reception. I hope this may help out other owners that have radar and want to add Sirius radio or xm.
