Need some advice please. I am installing a Ram mount for a second GPS/FF on my 21SE. I have the small console with no e-box and there is no room to flush mount or put another bracket on top of the console.

Question: The Ram mount came with no hardware. What kind of screws should I use to attach it to the console?

How should I predrill and what, if anything should I use as a sealant? There are 6 holes in the base of the Ram mount.

Thanks!

personally, i would drill and thru-bolt. if theres existing hardware in the console, maybe back it out to determine the thickness of the glass layup, or drill one of the holes and do it that way. just make sure theres nothing behind your mounting surface and you should be good. then, take th mount to the store with you, find some stainless bolts that have heads that fit in the holes, and you should be set. finish off the install with a bit of 3M 5200, and youre golden :)

I had an Aquasport 22.2 and had the same problem as you. I took all the electronics and the compass of the dash so it was empty. I made a Mahogany dash a little larger than the existing one but not too much bigger as to stand out. It was just enough to be able to mount all of my electronics and did not have to use the Ram I had planned on using.
