What range are people getting with a ox66 250hp and a 2520 dvsc with a 173 gallon fuel tank.Loaded with ice and trolling gear and 2 people..Just trying to get a rough idea of range.

I have the same boat.

I have a Navman fuel flow meter on my boat and burn around 14gph at 4400RPM's.

Depending on load and sea state that can mean different boat speeds. In flat calm seas and a light load I can see 28mph at that speed, but in heavy seas and loaded down that can drop to 20mph.

Using the worst case scenario and about 1.3 mpg, the boat has a theoretical range of 1.3 x 173 or about 225 miles. Again, that is worst case. I know in reality I get much better.

On a couple offshore trips sharking, I've got as good as 1.7mpg.

Do you have a fuel computer?

My 225 OX66 on an MV hull burns about 14 gph at a 4200 rpm cruise according to my Navman.
She burns about 2 gph on the troll.

I do have a standard horizon flow scan but it is telling me i am burning 17 gph at 4400 rpms.I guess i am just checking to see how accurate the reading is. I thank you for the input.
