Guys,

I respectfully ask you what you think is a fair price for my boat? I know it is a tuff market, but I don't want to be priced too high so as to hurt myself?

Last Parker I tried to sell was in '03. At that time, a Parker dealer (who I had bought 3 boats from) said to figure 15-20% first year, and 10-15% following years.

Using your price of <$60K (I used $59K) and an average of 17.5% and 12.5%, that makes a retail of around $42,590. It's end of 2007, soon deduct another 12.5%. Do not count extras, electronics, taxes etc. in original sales price. Only BMT counts.

I did not see your boat in Boat Trader, is it in Florida Sportsman? I sold mine thru FS.

Yes the market is very soft, with mortgage and credit card rates increasing dramatically.
You have to look at the long range at this point?
Meaning if the boat does not sell at this time of year when the prices are low, what will it be worth next spring with another year added on to the model year. What about the costs associated with winterization and storage?
Yes it is without a doubt a great boat for the money and very well optioned.
It is hard for me to imagine how much money less my new boat is worth if I were to sell it.
Just trying to helpand my $0.02 worth
Good Luck
Tom

Seems a reasonable asking price to me. I had my Parker up at a good price, and the fellow who bought the boat made an offer. We negotiated a little and split the difference. I think we both did pretty well.

FF thank you for your analysis. And a thank you for the rest of you. She is "asking" lower than most of the others I have seen (she is on iboats, usedboats.com, THT, Here, Craigslist, and maybe another. I'll listen to offeres that come by. If she doesn't sell by haul out time, than I'll keep her at least another year.

I figured moving down to 21 footer would save me coin annually, and up front. At a certain point though that becomes economically unwise.

Not lucky at all Sal. You just had to be more patient that's all. That must be a load off your mind. Congratulations and good for you. Now join us center console owners. We might not have a cabin but we have balls of steel! Cabins are for wussies and woman(setle down just kidding folks). There is or was a used 18 Parker cc on Ebay recently.
