Looking to repower my 1998 2520 DV. Found a great deal on a new Suzuki 250 four stroke. Anyone on the board have one on the back of thier 2520 DV? Not sure if I should go with the 300. Just curious to see the performance difference from the 250 Oxx66 yammi. Any input would help, weight, consumption, speed etc... thanks! Vito

Parker (Brad) here has one on the back of his deep-V 25 sport cabin model. I just repowered my mod-V 25' SC with a Suzi DF250. From what I've seen of the performanance figures for a SINGLE Suzi 300hp on the stern - I wouldn't do it. It appears that 300 is geared for there to be 2 or more OBs on the stern laziliy running along @ 3500 RPMs or so. You can't do that with a single motor and will need to be @ much higher RPMs, as fuel comparisons don't show much, if any, improvements at cruise speeds for the single 250 vs. 300.

Provided you have a good dealer near you, for my $$, a Suzi is the much better choice than a Yam OB ...
