For me it was dollars and cents, and I really didn't want to have to add oil if I could help it. I found an excellent Suzuki dealer with aggressive pricing so that a conversion to Suzki, from OMC/Bombardier, was the lowest co$t repower for me, 250hp too. I think I also got a super OB! An E-Tec would probably have been my only other real option, since Tohatsu/Nissan doesn't make any big V6 power OBs, and I'm not a Yam 4-stroke OB fan.
But, dealer availability can be a HUGE factor and consideration! So if you have a trusted and valued Bomb dealer near you and can make it work, go for it. Admittedly Suzi dealers are few and far between, but I have 3 near me, so I'm dang lucky.
