Repowering WA 25' with keel drive

Need Help
Is it worth it to repower a 1993 25' WA with 454 and keel drive to diesel.
If yes, what size motor would you guys use? How well those this hull with keel drive perform?

that is gonna be one HECK of a job. is it inboard powered right now? or are you completely switching it over from an outboard? you might run into problems with engine placement if thats the case. have you talked to Parker about it? im sure theyll be able to tell you something :? . Keep us updated!!

I don't think it would be to hard to do. I just don't know anything about that hull and performance. The boat is in really good shape.

CP member Knot Many has an inboard big-block, but he is sticking with gas for the present...

However, we have had at least one member who has converted to a single diesel, and I think it might have been a 315 Yanmar.

Do some searches of the forums by keyword 'diesel' and see what pops up! :wink:

If you do it, skip the diesel and see if you can shoehorn an 8.1 HO in there!!! :shock: :shock: :shock:

If the 454 and the 496 use the same basic block, it'll fit.
