I noticed brown water stains on the gunnels below each of the rod holders on my 2010 2100SE. Upon removing the rod holders I see the factory didn't seal the holes. I removed each rod holder and coated with gelcoat then sealed topside with 5300. See before after pics.

Anyone else have this problem?

We don't have this issue with our Parker, (yet?) but we've had similar issues on a previous boat. In our case, the brown water stains were from rotted plywood. I trust you thoroughly dried the area, (was it wet?) and removed any rot (did you have any?) before making the repair; looks to me like you caught it in time and did a nice repair!.. Did you mean 5200? Maybe 4200 would have been less 'permanent' ?
(On a side-note, I wish the rod-holder companies would make them with larger flanges on top, so that the bolts could be placed further away from the main/large hole. Rod holders that require a sharp-angled main hole, make it nearly impossible to be able to bolt into solid decking).

Yes, I let dry and air out for about a week b4 sanding and gelcoat was applied. I didn't have any rot, just wet and stained. It was solid. I also 100% agree about the larger flange. .....Yes I meant 5200. I was on the fence about it but went for the 5200. I guess time will tell what happens and if I have to revisit.
