Has anyone else had water penetrate the aft roof and split the seam along the edge of the aft roof overhang? I took the nav light off and it looks like it only got 1/2 of it sealed. Looks like the factory light. The seam was split when I got the boat last year. It is a 2002 with only 200 hours. This is the only flaw.
Any tips on repair? I'm thinking of cutting out the lower skin and taking out as much of the wet wood as I can and then filling it with thick epoxy and clamping it back. This winter it froze and really separated. Once it warmed up it wasn't as bad.
Hoping getting a lot of wet wood out will do the trick. I really don't want to cut the top of the roof as my glass experience is limited!
I have a rocket launcher I want to mount. This will help in clamping it as well once I epoxy it. Any tips? Any good glass guys in CT who want a job?
