I have an 08 2120 that I purchased new in August of 08. I do a lot of night boating on our lake. I noticed that the nav/anchor light switch was wired incorrectly from the factory.
When I put the switch in the 'anchor light' mode, the Nav lights would continue to burn. I had my local marine mechanic rewire the switch to correct the problem rather than hauling the boat 120 miles back to the dealer.
The other issue I had with the running lights was the intermittent tripping of the breaker. I traced all of the wires and couldn't locate the problem. When I pulled the cover off of the nav light on the bow I found two pieces of metal (looked like smalll pop rivet heads) bouncing around in the nav light lense. They were bouncing off of the bulb contacts, creating a ground and tripping the breaker.
I have had no other issues with the lights since removing the pieces of metal from the nav light lense.
I hope this info helps someone identify a similar problem.
Most often the most aggravating poblems have such simple solutions.
