Santa wants to bring me a Mr. Heater for my SC 2120 this year. I have used a small propane heater in the past and was less than happy. I'm torn between the large model

Or the smaller model

Is anyone using either of these models? I checked all the reviews and found some things I liked about both models. I was also wondering if you have had any issues with the "anti-tip" feature.

Thanks for any information. I'll pass your comments on to Santa.

I have had this one since 2003 I love it
I have seen the bigger one but for our cabin
I think it is way to much
I turn mine on to full for about 10 min then leave it at the lowest setting
And it is real warm in the cabin I leave both sliding windows cracked about 1/2 in and door shut
No fumes could not work better
I think the bigger one would get in the way for sure
the ant-tip feature works well
If you kick it with your foot it goes out or a big wave pound
But not to the point of nuisance

Thanks guys. I may opt for the bigger one as a backup for the RV too. With everything I've read you can turn it down so that it is putting out the same amount of heat as the smaller unit.

Used my Mr. Heater for the first time this past Friday. It is the smaller one 4000 to 9000 btu heater, and it worked wonderful. Soon as the boat went in the water I lit the heater to get the windows thawed out. It was 26 degrees out and a heavy duty frost on the windows. In 5 minutes the upper part of the windows were defrosted. 2 minutes later all of the glass was defrosted. This happened while the motor was running to warm up. In 10 minutes we were headed out of Somers Cove Marina and were out of our coats. Turned it down to the low setting and continued to cruise toward Lower Tangier Sound. Purposely hit some good seas made by some passing boats, but didn't seam to bother the heater at all. As was stated in the earlier post, I also left the windows slid open about half an inch.

I also have the small Mr. Heater. I have used it for 4 yrs. in my 2520 and now in my 2120. It is a worth while purchase. It gets cold on the Del.Bay near the end of striper season, but it gets the job done. Very economical also.

I am also looking for a heater for my 2520. the mr heaters sound great. Can I get some tips on where you place them and how you secure them. Thanks Mike

I set the heater in front of the doorway to the foward bunks. I usually keep the doors open so that I can store my jacket out of the way. The heater was well out of the way and I could easily keep an eye on it.

I just stick it under my pedestal foot rest and it stays right there 8)
And I get the first heat
