Anyone on here have one installed in the central NJ area. or were most done by yourselves. i have a 1986 Souwester and am a bit intimidated to do this by myself
 
I bought all of the parts and my dealer installed it during the winter lay-up.
The fiberglass part came off a C-Hawk. The rest, I bought piece by piece.

Hi Captain Kevin...which model binnacle is that on your cockpit helm...is set up one lever for gear and one for throttle or does each lever serve a dual purpose..thanks

That is a Morse, mechanical, single-action control made by Teleflex Marine.
There is an identical Morse control at the helm.

Yes. The black handle lever on the left is the transmission control. Forward, Neutral, Reverse
The red handle lever on the right is the throttle.
