I WANT TO INSTALL A STEREO IN MY 2320SC, SHOW ME HOW YOU HAVE YOURS INSTALLED, AND WHERE, OR HOW YOU MOUNTED THE SPEAKERS. ALSO ANY RECOMENDATIONS ON BRANDS AND DURABILTY
Bought my 2520SC in 98 and have wavered between stereo or not to stereo. Maybe with some good ideas I can get motivated! I'll be watching
for posts on the subjest.
No pics ... but JVC KD-SX series (60??) AM/FM/CD (CD-R compatible) stereo mounted up over/above helm over the starboard window. Up and out of the way, plus out of any salt spray through the windows.
I also have the wired-remote so I can run it from my 2nd station mounted on the back of the cabin bulkhead, out in the 'pit'.
My front speakers are a mix of JVC & Sony, with the JVCs inside, one in portside co-pilot seat base facing forward and the other on the helm/control bulkheads, far starboard as I could get it, facing aft. That 'fore & aft facing' placement (I had no choice really!) worked out really, surprisingly ... really well !
The rear speakers are placed low on the pilot house bulkhead wall facing aft. So far so good ... bulletproof for performance and reliability for 3-seasons! The head unit does have the removable faceplate which goes home with me.
