Megabyte helped me with some placement issues, as did hakr's project thread. Anywho... many of us have new helms, or new equiptment, or updated placement..... so pease share a picture of it on this thread! I find these threads great for ideas on what to do and what not to do. I am usually in the latter category..... and yet I still plow onwards! Here goes. From my camera phone:

ahhhhhh.....the smell of new fiberglass. :D

Parker makes an electronics cabinet for the 21SE, if you're concerned about water in VHF and mike or for that matter, FF and GPS.

Antennas are always a problem on cc's w/o a T-Top. They make the perfect hand hold :? . You could have a piece welded on windshield frame with a wing nut and a bracket to help secure your VHF antenna. Did you use the HD antenna bracket?

Looks like that grab handle would be a great knee buster.

I'll bet the boat runs great

I have seen that electronics cabinet. I'll look into it as time goes on. For now I have a nice locally made canvas cover that goes over all the center guts of the boat. The electronics are also removeable. Schrader outfits their installs with a Standard Horizon VHF where the black box is mounted in the console, and the fully-featured Mic is neatly mounted on the console exterior. Defintely sounds clean, and I am sure they do a great job. I wanted to use the units I had though, and am lucky enough to have a friend who was willing to install what I had at a decent price.

This boat runs nice, I'll Say that. :D

Sorry 'bout the oversize. I never know what size pics will be. Fill the frame in photo edit and it comes out looking like a 42" LCD TV. :?

I added the upper helm electronics console to fit these bad boys.
This my helm prior to adding the Icom CMIII Mic and Clarion hard wired remote puck. i also put a console canvas cover that only covers the console not the glass. I didnt want scratches on the plexi.
Have fun with a new boat PS.
I will post new photos in 2 weeks when I finally get back onto my boat.
Jonsing wicked haawd right now.

This is my Albin helm, What I want you to see is the equipment mounted to a board, which is double backed taped to the dash. I didn't want to drill any holes. If the next owner is not happy with this set up he can pry the board off, a little goo gone might help, but there'll be no holes! The wiring runs in a loom behind the units. The 3M exterior heavy duty double back tape is some strong stuff. I have a number of items mounted with the tape without problems.

MegaByte, what kind of throttle setup is that?

The controls both front and rear are Teleflex Morse Twin S controls.

I just get a terrible itch and reaction when something blocks my view out the front window so here is what I bought and where I put it to avoid any blockage of the view forward.

Going clockwise, here is my Raymarine C70 (easy to see depth, chart, radar, etc), Yammie Command Link gauges, joy stick search/flood light control (easy use with right hand at night), lighted trim gauges (see red lights both sides of steering wheel) , 12 V cigarette lighter outlet, toggle switch for trim tabs & Raymarine DSM 300 digital depth unit (automatically raises trim tabs when shut off), am/fm cd player, and up on the top (to the right of the compass) in the right corner out of my sight line is my waterproof ICOM VHF radio & mike (above the radio) so no hanging wires and clear front window. All works great for day and night running.

Wish the Yammie gauges were a bit clearer in bright sunlight and that the factory switches had back lighting under the labels for night running. Minor issues. Overall I am very satisfied.,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,Pete

Capt Raider Ronnie,

Congratulations, You might be the first to mount your radio up high and dry. So many cabin Parker installs have radio under the sliding window.

PakerSal,

I see by the pixs you posted of your helm that you mounted your VHF anteana on the fiberglass,if you want I have (Free of Charge) the anteana mount which is secured to your grab railing around the glass,I also have the GPS mount for rail also,I had these before I put T-Top,all stainless.

Who manufactures the bracket and does it rotate/swivel 360 degrees on a vertical and horizontal plane? photo 101_0119.JPG

I'm almost done. She still needs a few pieces of bling before she's ready to come out 8)

What is funny is that after I take the photos, I get home and think... why didn't I clean up the crap that was laying around? It spoiled the picture! :D
