After talking with teh Coast Guard, Th NJ State Police Marine Division, The State of NJ Dept of Transportation - Bridge Dept., the Monmouth County Engineers Office called me back with the clearance.
For the new bridge at Patten Ave over the Manahasset Creek off the Shrewsbury River (between Long Branch and Monmouth Beach).
"The max. vertical clearance at the navigational span at high tide is 9'-4" "

Thanks for the responses,
Kevin

On charted waters, the local chart will indicate bridge clearance at a particular water level.
Many bridges are also physically marked, and clearance can be be determined at any tide level by observing the markings on the bridge structure in relation to the water level at the time of passage.

The bridge is newly opened, Dec. 2005. I'm not sure if the new bridge info. is available.

Any locals out there been under the new bridge?

Thanks,
Kevin

Hey Whitecap,

Looks like 12ft minimum horizontal and 6ft vertical. Tight fit with a sport cabin but if the water is right it should be do-able.

I got the date wrong on the new bridge, it was 2005. What's the date on that chart?

Thanks,
Kevin
