I have read a lot of post concerning how to vent a 2520 Pilot House/cuddy. The attached picture shows my solution. Many may say about the security or rain entering issue. As far as the security is concerned: my boat is in a marina, the window tilt mechanism is tight and if anyone wants to get into the pilot house it is easier to pop the door lock than crawling through the window. I have not had any rain getting into the dashboard due to the tilt of the glass and a small roof overhang.

I do the same thing, and have found that you can have that window 1/2 way open and you still will not get rain inside.
With the window cantilevered, it acts like an awning. Only a serious wind-blown rain would get inside, and that has not happened to me. 8)

I do the same thing on the Port side so if rain comes in it is less likely to drip on the dash.

With that, Becson rainshields and the extra windows on the 2530 cracked open with screens, get good ventilation.
