hi skips , just so in love with my 2520 , but shes a 1999 and the cocpit is slippery because the no slip is wearing off , i need your advice , im a x egg harbor man and when i just painted the deck with paint and added the sand to it , it became a yearly redue , i dont want to waste my time every spring redueing the deck , all i want to do is FISH FISH FISH ive herad of the sure grip , but i looks like it has to be sprayed on , that is not in the cards , thanks to all that reply

what i did was go to smart and final and got a commercial grade floormat, the ones they use in kitchens(its black with hexagon pattern holes, and about an inch thick), and threw it down, and you can cut it to customize your floor layout. works great, and is inexpensive.

I did the same thing, and I like it to a point.
The one I bought was black rubber, and it leaves rubber marks on the nonskid on the cockpit, and inside the house.
Only thing that takes off the rubber is scrubbing BKF on the deck, and then power washing it off.....but it's still NOT perfect.

As soon as I can afford it I'm going to put some stuff called Tuffelx in the house.
It's a 2 part deal. After cleaning the inside you put down a primer, wait 2 hours, then put down the tuffelx. The Tuffelx self levels itself, and then you sprinkle in crushed, and recylcled tennis balls for a nonskid.Let this dry 24 hrs then put a color coat on it...they make a nice Parker sand color too :D .

I've put this stuff on 2 of my other boats ,and its bullet proof.....but a bit pricey. It's gonna cost me about 200 bucks just to do the inside of the house because they ony sell it by the gal.

Do a search ,and check it out ,it really cool stuff.they use it to coat outside decking w/it.
MJ.
